After 10 weeks, “Dancing with the Stars” season 13 finally crowned its winner on Tuesday, November 22. Rob Kardashian led the scoreboard after Monday’s performance show, but there was still a long road for the three finalists before claiming the mirror ball trophy.

On the second part of the finale, the remaining couples once again performed their favorite routine of the season. Ricki Lake and Derek Hough danced their tango which Len Goodman called “one of the memorable dances of this or any season.”
Rob and Cheryl Burke chose to perform their foxtrot. The brother of Kim Kardashian had a little slip, but Len said it “doesn’t mean anything” because, “You’ve got the best footwork of virtually any guy I’ve seen on this show ever.”
For their repeat dance, J.R. Martinez and Karina Smirnoff opted to dance their jive. While there was too much Lindy Hop the first time they danced it, this time they reworked the routine to be more of a true jive. Len loved that they listened to his advice, saying, “You did exactly what I asked you to do. You took out the Lindy.”
Instead of scoring the dances individually, the judges decided together to determine the rank of the contestants’ repeat dances. Ricki was placed first and got 30 points, bringing her total point to 84. J.R. was ranked the second and got 28 points to make his total point to 82. Placing third, Rob earned 26 which made his total score to 83.
These scores were combined with the viewer votes and it was soon revealed that Ricki was placed third. “I’ve loved basically every minute of this. I really feel like I’ve had the best partner, the best teacher, the best motivator,” the “Hairspray” star said on her farewell speech.
“I’ve done something that I really didn’t think I could do. And for someone who’s a middle age mom I hope I’ve made my children proud… This is fantasy come true,” she added. Her partner Derek, meanwhile, praised her, “She’s an absolute winner. She’s just knocked it out of the ballpark.”
Still competing for the first place, J.R. and Rob along with their own partner danced an instant samba which would be evaluated by the judges. Both these two celebrity contestants got a perfect score of 30 each. With the scores from the final dance being added to their accumulative points, Rob still led by one point over J.R.
Viewers, however, gave more votes to J.R. and Karina as the couple was announced the winner of this season. “First and foremost I want to thank everybody who voted for us for 10 weeks. Thank you, America for believing in us,” said the army veteran, before crediting his partner, “You are amazing. I’m so grateful that I was able to be part of your first mirror ball trophy. Thank you very much.”
Rob, who finished in the second place, was not upset with the result as he said, “We’re super thankful… I’m definitely not sad. I won in my book.” Cheryl, meanwhile, claimed that they would keep in touch after ending the gig, “We’re going to stay friends forever… In my book, you’ve won.”
The Tuesday finale also welcomed the eliminated celebrity contestants to the dance floor again. Lady Antebellum served as a musical guest, performing “Dancing Away with my Heart” while being accompanied by some pro dancers.
Rob Kardashian might have saved his best for the last. After surprisingly securing a spot in the final three of “Dancing with the Stars” season 13, the reality star makes the competition to win the mirror ball trophy even stiffer as he emerged as a current leader on the scoreboard after the final performance show.

Rob got his first perfect score (30) of this season on Monday, November 21 through his freestyle. Judge Bruno Tonioli commented, “I tell you, timing in life is everything – you peaked at the right time.” His first dance that night, waltz, also impressed the judges although Bruno noted that he “messed up some of the footwork.” He got 27 for the waltz.
The other two finalists, J.R. Martinez and Ricki Lake, were tied with 54. The army veteran only got 24 from his cha cha which judge Len Goodman thought “wasn’t that good.” He, however, covered it up with his intense, salsa-inspired freestyle that put him back in the game. Len gushed that it was “fantastic” and the judges gave the actor a perfect score.
Ricki, meanwhile, delivered an “action-packed performance” with her cha cha. “Tonight, you were definitely living the dance,” Carrie Ann Inaba praised the actress. Ricki’s freestyle was deemed “entertaining” although Len pointed out that she “lost it a little bit in the quickstep section”. She earned 27 each for her first and second dance.
The winner of this season’s “Dancing with the Stars” will be announced on Tuesday, November 22 based on combination of the judge scores and viewer votes. Lady Antebellum will take the stage to perform for the audience.
“Dancing with the Stars” has unveiled its final three. The show sent home Hope Solo and her pro dancer partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy on the Tuesday, November 15 result show, giving the spots in the finals to Ricki Lake, Rob Kardashian and J.R. Martinez.

“This competition is one of the toughest competitions I’ve ever been a part of. I’m grateful. This was an amazing opportunity,” Hope said after her elimination was announced. She then shared her plan, “Instead of winning the mirror-ball trophy I’m going to go and try and win a gold medal at the Summer Olympics.”
Maksim also gave his final words on the stage, telling the soccer player, “Thank you for determination and will and everything else. I wish I could have been better for you.” He added, “It’s been an amazing journey.”
Next Monday, November 21, Ricki, Rob and J.R. will perform in a battle to win the mirror ball trophy. While Ricki and J.R. have been consistent frontrunners, Rob had been struggling on the dance floor until he shone on the semifinal performance show.

Having been known as a legal commentator, Nancy Grace has playfully seen her “Dancing with the Stars” elimination from the eye of justice. The former prosecutor appeared on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” after she was voted off the dancing competition and joked that she was “robbed” by the reality show.

“It’s a huge miscarriage of justice. I was robbed!” the 52-year-old, who was accompanied by her pro partner Tristan MacManus, jokingly said after declaring that she will be ranting and raving about the result for weeks. “That’s a felony, even in California!” she added, which was agreed by host Jimmy Kimmel.
Also during their visit to the late night show, Nancy was able to laugh at her wardrobe malfuction on the reality show. Asked by Jimmy whose idea the nip slip was, the HLN host initially said, “That did not happen!” before deciding to joke along with the comedian, “It’s the beauty of the dance. I sacrifice a lot for my art.”
On the drama seen during their rehearsals, the couple insisted that their bickering was not staged by the request of “DWTS” producers. “Everything that happened on the show is exactly what happened in rehearsals. Exactly,” Tristan claimed.
Nancy got the boot on Tuesday, November 8 after staying on the show for 8 weeks. Her partner Tristan said they were not disappointed although they could not go further. “We done great, and we went out on a high, I feel,” the pro dancer, who just joined the cast this season, said backstage after the result show.
“Dancing with the Stars” has sent home its weakest contestant in its eighth week. Dodging eliminations from week to week despite her so-so performances, Nancy Grace eventually got the boot on Tuesday, November 8.

“I am so proud, but I really cannot take the credit. You know what, it’s been all Tristan [MacManus] from the get-go,” Nancy said, praising her pro partner who was standing beside her. “Not only did I meet a lot of goals I also become friends, not only with the other stars, but with the dancers as well,” she added before thanking the viewers “who stuck by me from way back then.”
Tristan chimed in, “We’ve just had a blast. Thanks for being welcoming to me and also to Nancy.” Delivering a wise message in his farewell speech, he stated, “It’s not about being the best. It’s just about doing the best.”
Nancy’s elimination was not a surprise since she was at the bottom of the scoreboard on Monday, November 7. Being honest with his opinion, head judge Len Goodman told her, “You’ve come to the ball, and you’ve lasted eight weeks, however, for me, it’s midnight and it’s time to go home.”
The Tuesday result show was filled with performances from A-list artists including Andrea Bocelli, Jordin Sparks and Flo Rida. The audience was additionally entertained with the Cirque du Soleil production of “Michael Jackson: The IMMORTAL World Tour.”
Bringing more laughs to the show, Kenny Mayne and Jerry Rice were featured in “Dance Center” during which they gave hilarious comments on the contestants. The segment included a mock on Maksim Chmerkovskiy’s controversial comment by crediting the Ukrainian born dancer as “the owner of the entire show.”
“DWTS” will enter its semifinal round next week with the top four finalists, J.R. Martinez, Ricki Lake, Hope Solo and Rob Kardashian.

J.R. Martinez continues affirming his status as the frontrunner on “Dancing with the Stars“. The former U.S. Army soldier got perfect scores for both his rehearsed dance and instant jive on a Monday, November 7 performance show. It also marked the first 30s given by judges in this season.

J.R. got his first 30 for his waltz on which Bruno Toli commented, “It was like a musical Valentine card. You danced with your heart on your sleeve.” Agreeing her fellow judge, Carrie Ann Inaba said, “Something happened in the middle there that was just magic.”
In the instant jive which he and pro partner Karina Smirnoff only prepared for 20 minutes, he once again got a standing ovation. “You’re in a class all of your own. There’s nobody even coming close to you guys tonight,” Carrie Ann gushed.
Though no one came close to what J.R. earned, Ricki Lake did well that night with her “beautifully executed” waltz. She got 28 though Carrie Ann noticed that the “Hairspray” actress had “a little stumble at the end there.” Ricki only got 24 for her instant jive, but Len still praised her, “It was good, it’s a tough dance, and I thought you did very well.”
Ricki was tied for a total score of 52 that night with Hope Solo. The World Cup star got 27 for her quickstep which Len called her best dance. She once again impressed Len with her instant jive, but Carrie Ann advised her to work on her hands. She collected 25 points from the second round.
Rob Kardashian, who started the night with his quickstep, earned 27 for the first dance. The three judges agreed that the reality star has shown a lot of improvement so far. His instant jive got 24 with Bruno praising the “youthful energy” shown in the routine.
Meanwhile, Nancy Grace was in danger of getting the boot. She earned positive feedback with her saucy tango which earned 24, but her instant jive seemed to fall flat. Len told her, “Yours is the Cinderella
story. You’ve come to the ball, and you’ve lasted eight weeks, however, for me, it’s midnight and it’s time to go home.” The judges gave 20 for her second-round routine.
The eliminated contestant will be announced on a Tuesday, November 8 result show.
Having been one of fans’ favorites during the 13th season of “Dancing with the Stars“, Chaz Bono finally had to hang up his dancing shoes due to lacking skill. The 42-year-old was voted off on Tuesday, October 25 after once again getting the lowest score on the Monday performance show.

“I took so much away from this,” said Chaz, who got a standing ovation from judges and audience after the elimination result was read. He added, “This was an amazing journey that really pushed me and showed me I could do so much more than I thought I could.”
The transgender child of Cher went on sharing about his goal in joining the show, “I came on to this show because I wanted to show American a different kind of man. I know that if there was somebody like me on TV when I was growing up, my whole life would have been different. So I dedicate everything I did to all the people out there like me, especially the kids and teens who are struggling. You can have a wonderful great life and be successful and happy.”
On the result show, the judges also reacted to Maksim Chmerkovskiy’s backstage comment following his fallout with Len Goodman. “Did he just say this was his show?” Carrie Ann Inaba responded after learning that the 31-year-old Ukrainian-born dancer told host Brooke Burke Charvet, “With all due respect, this is my show. I helped make it what it is,” the night before.
Brooke then gave a chance to Maksim to clarify his harsh statement to Len, asking him if the judges weren’t entitled to their opinions. “Of course. So are we,” so said the pro dancer who, together with his partner Hope Solo, was among the bottom two this week. He, however, added the comment he made about the show being his was in some way misinterpreted. “It’s not my show. I’m part of a very large cast,” he explained.
Returning to perform that night was Kristin Chenoweth, who catered the audience on Monday’s performance show. Martina McBride was another musical guest, while Corbin Bleu and the Macy’s Stars of Dance troupe performed a dance number.
Six remaining celebrity contestants, including Hope, J.R. Martinez, Ricki Lake, Rob Kardashian, David Arquette and Nancy Grace will return on Monday, October 31.
Carson Kressley has made an admission that Anna Trebunskaya was not his first choice to dance with on “Dancing with the Stars“. Appearing on “Good Morning America” a day after he was voted off the competition, the fashion expert revealed that he initially wanted to be paired with Maksim Chmerkovskiy.

“I was kind of hoping for Maks. I was like, ‘Wait, you’re not Maks,” he said while comparing the show to online dating where people do not know their partners until they meet. However, he is glad to be partnered with Anna as he found out that “she is so much better than Max, so much lighter.” He went on adding, “I could not have asked for a better partner.”
Anna herself had nothing but good words for Carson. “In my book, Carson was the greatest student because he practiced so hard and kept me laughing the whole time,” she said, responding to the “GMA” host’s question about the low score they got from judges this week.
On the positive thing he got from joining “DWTS”, Carson said, “Everyone tells you that it’s a very challenging show and you’re going to lose lots of weight and be in the best shape ever, and it basically is.” He added, “I’m not down to my birth weight yet, but I’m going to keep dancing.”
“It’s a great form of exercise that I’d recommend to everyone watching,” the former “Queer Eye” star went on stressing. “My words of wisdom are, try something new. Life is short. Have fun, dance to the music and enjoy it.”
Asked who he thinks will win the Mirrorball Trophy, Carson joked, “We’re here in the ballroom right now I see the Mirrorball Trophy right up there. I’m thinking I’m going to unscrew it and take it home with me tonight.”
Carson was sent home during “DWTS” result show on Tuesday, October 18. He got the lowest score two weeks in a row despite his fun and entertaining performances.
“Dancing with the Stars” will not see Carson Kressley’s fun and entertaining performance again next week. Having stayed on the show for five weeks despite his messy technique, the fashion expert was finally voted off on Tuesday, October 18 after receiving the lowest score from judges two weeks in a row.

“I’ve got to say thank you to everyone involved in ‘Dancing With the Stars’… To Anna [Trebunskaya] who has been the most amazing, patient, kind, wonderful partner to my cast mates to the judges… to my fans… This has been pure joy for me and, um, I just, you know, hope I can make people smile and laugh and have a great time,” Carson said upon learning his fate, promising to come back to give support to the other remaining contestants.
Also in jeopardy that night were David Arquette and Hope Solo. Meanwhile, Chaz Bono and Nancy Grace, who were actually among the bottom placers in current scoreboard based on the points given by judges, were once again safe.
Showing up as the performers during the result show were The Band Perry and Kelly Clarkson.
Next week, David, Hope, Chaz and Nancy will return with the other three celebrities, J.R. Martinez, Ricki Lake and Rob Kardashian.
“Dancing with the Stars” contestants embraced the 1980s style and music on this week’s performance show. Hope Solo opened the Monday, October 17 episode with a tango she danced to Bon Jovi’s “Livin’ On a Prayer”. Bruno Toli said, “You were strong, sexy and powerful!” Carrie Ann Inaba agreed, but added that “it’s almost like you attacked it so hard that some of your lines got a little awkward. Sometimes you have to learn that less is more.” Hope scored 24 out of 30.

Carson Kressley came out next, dancing the jive to “Wake Me Up Before You Go Go” by Wham!. He still did not master the technique, but Len Goodman believed Carson will be back next week if he was judging with his heart. Bruno saw the performance “loopier than a looney tune”, but praised Carson for being able to “squeeze so much wacky fun out of a minimal jive.” He got 19 which marked the weakest performance of the night.
Nancy Grace danced the rumba to “True” by Spandau Ballet. Being a little tough with her comment, Carrie Ann said, “It was nice. It was appropriate,… but I want to see real passion when you’re dancing.” In contrary, Len thought “it was simple, but it was very effective.” Bruno was on the same side with Len, stating, “I thought you pitched it exactly right tonight. It was sensuous, it was sexy, it wasn’t slutty.” The judges gave her 22.
J.R. Martinez danced the samba to Gloria Estefan’s “Conga” and soon the night belonged to him. Len declared that from now on he will tell other guys to look at J.R. if they ask how a man should dance a samba. Bruno gushed, “You were like a loin-shattering sex machine! The Kardashians are gagging!” while Carrie Ann simply called it amazing. The actor earned 28 which was the highest point of the night.
When Rob Kardashian danced the rumba Lionel Richie’s “Hello”, Carrie Ann was amazed by how he was “totally in control” of his female partner Cheryl Burke. Len’s comment was similar as he said, “You took command in that dance,” with Bruno adding that it was a “very sentimental” and “great performance.” Rob scored 25.
Chaz Bono danced the samba to Kool & The Gang’s “Get Down on It”. He was still not a really good dancer, but Carrie Ann said she saw the most dancing he did during the competition. Len credited his “gallant effort”, while Bruno said Chaz did very well although not as good as J.R. The judges gave him 21.
David Arquette danced the tango to Soft Cell’s “Tainted Love” which has a great ’80s feel, according to Len. Bruno stated, “That was a tango with a rebel yell! That’s the way to go – in charge!” Carrie Ann advised him to work on his musicality but she still saw him as a contender. David got 25.
Performing the last, Ricki Lake danced the foxtrot to Phil Collins’ “Easy Lover”. She fell down from last week’s performance as Bruno noted, “You can’t be a genius every week.” Len said her “footwork was a little bit hit-and-miss,” before adding, “It wasn’t your best dance, but it wasn’t your worst.” She earned 24.
The result of this performance show will be announced on Tuesday, October 18. The Band Perry and Kelly Clarkson are tapped to perform.
